What it is for
Best for
Reception, connectivity, POS, computers, lights and selected low-power loads.
Typical examples (guidance, not a promise)
Loads whose combined running power stays under 500 W, for example LED lighting, phones, laptops and routers. Runtime depends on what is connected; check each device’s nameplate.
Check first
Motors, compressors, pumps, autoclaves and anything with a high starting surge above 1,000 VA.
Sensitive or no-break medical loads may require a dedicated online UPS or manufacturer-specific protection. Compatibility must be confirmed from the device nameplate, surge demand and manufacturer requirements before purchase or connection.
Check what it can power
List the devices you want to run. Use the running power from each device’s nameplate.
Add a device with its power to see an estimate.
Estimate only. It assumes 85% of stored energy reaches your devices, a steady load, and that motors and compressors draw 3× their running power when starting. For medical equipment, confirm compatibility from the nameplate and manufacturer before connecting.
