10. AfyaBooking and Patient Data

Ubuntu AfyaLink is the controller of the personal data it collects through this website, the AfyaSolar Shop and its AfyaSolar customer relationships. When a healthcare facility uses AfyaBooking, the facility is the controller of patient data and Ubuntu AfyaLink acts as its processor.

When a healthcare facility uses AfyaBooking, the facility decides what patient and appointment information is entered and why. Ubuntu AfyaLink processes that information on the facility’s behalf to provide the service, and does not use it for other purposes.

Details of the categories of data processed, how long they are kept, who can access them, how corrections and deletions are handled, and which sub-processors are used are set out in the facility’s AfyaBooking agreement.

11. Artificial Intelligence

This section is pending review by Tanzanian counsel.

Where our services use AI-assisted features, staff remain in control of decisions. We will state here whether customer or patient data is used to train models, how AI features use data and which third-party AI providers are involved, once this review is complete.

12. Third-Party Services

Our services may integrate with third-party tools (e.g. messaging platforms, analytics tools). These providers have their own privacy policies.
